Boys & Girls: J100 Glasgow, GB - hard, indoor (Week 3)

There's obviously a big British contingent

In the boys, the top 4 seeds are, in order: a Romanian boy, Max Carrier, Luke Hooper and an Estonian boy

Mark Ceban is playing here

Wildcards have gone to Jesse Clarkson, Liam O'Brien and Lance Nisbet

The GB qualifiers were Murray Watters and Louis Hull

Alex English got in as a LL too

Girls:

Ruby and Dani, as top two seeds, came through fine

(wc) Celine Ricaud (one of my little faves, partly because she has a french name :smile) beat the 5th seed in two sets

Good wins for our 14 year-olds Hollie Smart & Edie Griffiths (the result for Lara Savic, v Isabella Moss, still to come)

Wins also for Tegan Bush, Isabella Wong, Isabella Walker, Liana S Blanksby, and Sarah Copley

Sophia C's result also still to come

I don't think I've seen Isabelle Wong as she tended to play overseas, but she has taken some scalps this week.

Good to see Max Carrier pushing on. He is not playing doubles this week, but a SF in a J100 will improve his ranking,

I saw Isabelle Wong play in the British Tour event in Paddington in 2022

It was a tidy, attractive game

She played Jizel, whom she thrashed, but then lost quite easily to Jaquelyn Ogunwale (although I seem to remember there were some highly questionable linecalls and what have you in that match)
