The next update will be for the rankings after Wimbledon. And now that we have no-one left playing singles this week it is time for you to start thinking about whether to use your sub (if you nominated one) or not. The transfer window runs from Monday 15 July to Friday 26 July.

TA - assuming Andy retires, will we delete him from the rankings and therefore from the top 10? And what happens if someone (most of us?) selected Andy? Or is that just tough luck?!

Don't want to speak for the addict but normally it just follows the actual ranking

i.e. if Andy retires and cancels his ranking (as JoKo did), he's gone, unranked and tough luck

If he retires but doesn't cancel his ranking, he just drifts down the ranking as points come off and he is where he is at the end of the year

Yes, CD is correct. If he's gone, he's gone. Can't allow for retirements and defections part-way through the year.

I'll be starting the process in a couple of days after I publish the up-to-date tables with this week's rankings. Quite a few big changes so I'm doing a thorough check, so everyone please wait until I say go !

Here is the latest table. There have been some big movements in the men's rankings over the last few weeks - Andy and Liam down a lot, Jack, Billy and Jacob (no-one picked him!) up a lot, plus a few others. So there have been some big changes in the points table - those at the top have lost a lot whilst those at the bottom haven't fallen as much (apart from me !). As I have been rather busy this update has been delayed a few days, so I am extending the period for substitutions until July 31st - that gives you a few extra days to decide and also one more set of rankings.

I picked Jacob as my sub at 220 so have got to think carefully now. Perhaps he might stop me hitting the bottom of the table!
