Hannah seems to be very much at home on the green clay here - I assume it is green or grey clay, slightly speedier than European red? Or is it red clay at this venue?

According to the tournament fact sheet it is green clay, which does indeed seem to be helping Hannah.

Make that 0-6 in set 2.  She may have Czeched out of that set hoping to regroup for the third

I know it's a switch from red clay to green clay but I did not see that coming. What a great result. Potentially an even tougher semifinal against Iva Jovic, who defeated Samsonova at the Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

I think that another big win against Iva Jovic (who won a W25 a couple of months ago) in the semis would be just enough to get Hannah into the end of year top 10, regardless of other results

Girls QF

(5) Hannah Klugman d. (1) Laura Samsonova (CZE) 7-6(2) 0-6 7-6(2)

SF

(5) Hannah Klugman v (4) Iva Jovic (USA)

Thanks David - I always see it as slippier and quicker , which is why Americans like it. Hannah doing really well!

There will be no double for Hannah, as they lose to the defending champions

SF

(3) Grant/Jovic (USA) d. (2) Klugman/Quevedo (USA/GBR) 6-4 6-2

Some win that for Hannah! Hopefully she can get some revenge for the doubles defeat.
