What a shame - that match looks SO close - and serving for it twice, having had a MP - that must hurt

And so close for Viktor too....

Big congrats to Hannah, though, that's a really excellent win biggrin

And Charlie (who's also still going in the doubles, as is Hannah)

Poor Charlie had to retire after losing the first set

That is a blow, presumably out of doubles also?

Probably Hannah's best ever win on clay, against the JWR28, but she will need to top that to go further. Hannah lost 4 & 3 to the top seed in the European Summer Cup final, and then retired against her at the US Open. Unfortunately Charlie has pulled out of the doubles

Hannah seems to be very much at home on the green clay here - I assume it is green or grey clay, slightly speedier than European red? Or is it red clay at this venue?

Just checked the scores. Hannah won the first set vs the top seed on a TB(2).

Whisper it quietly but Hannah has just taken the first set off Laura Samsonova - the first time I think she has won a set in the matches she has played in the last 18 months against either of the top Czechs who formed the Junior BJK Cup team. Samsonova served for the first set at 6-5, but was broken back and Hannah took the tiebreak 7-2
