Not to take anything away from Emma but I wonder if Garcia's shoulder was hurting her a bit, and is there a chance she might not play tomorrow?

I think Emma is the only one of our players with a chance of beating Garcia and probably Parry so it probably comes down to who Anne wants to give a chance to for BJK cup practice on clay against Garcia tomorrow. Does she want to give Kate more practice on clay or introduce Fran to BJK Cup play so she has two potential BJK Cup players for for future matches on clay? I suspect she will give Fran a go.

However likely or not, Anne should play who she thinks is most likely to win the match 3 singles tomorrow !!!!

Emma  and Fran and then Harriet and Heather. Out of interest, which singles is first tomorrow?

The first singles tomorrow is the #1 vs #1 clash, ie. what I referred to as the match 3 singles.

So, originally pencilled in as Garcia vs Boulter. But now?

So if Harriet or Heather is in the equation for that there will be the match 4 singles ( which presumably Emma will play ) before a potential dpubles decider.

Got to be Fran. Cant assume Katie will suddenly learn how to play on clay, she wont. Throw in Fran, but work on assumption Emma will win and itll come down to the doubles. Free hit for Fran. And keep Garcia out there for three hours whilst at it!

Ive just got in and watched the highlights. Emma was fantastic today. I thought Katie would play twice, but unfortunately she didnt do very well today or was Parry just really good.
Tough decision for Annie.

We were always the underdogs in this tie so why not take a risk. Drop Katie and play one of the others. It's as unlikely that Katie will win as it is Harriet, Heather or Fran. If Fran had played more doubles, I'd be tempted to play one of Heather or Harriet in the singles and the other pair with Fran for doubles.

Well done Emma. Remember she had a good run at Stuttgart a few years ago on indoor clay until she met Iga?! Good boost to her confidence going into the clay season. Feel bad for Katie, bit of a blow.,however with her ranking suppose Anne had to think she had a chance against Parry.Anyway, still everything to play for.
