Our top doubles pairing of Hannah and Mimi was given an outing in preparation for the tougher matches later this week. The upshot of today's win is that we win the group and will be placed in the second quarter-final, against either Japan or Sweden, but with top seed Czechia looming as potential semi-final opponent The 1st-8th play-offs start on Friday.
Spain, Japan and Egypt all got 2 wins but Spain ended up +5, Japan +1 and Egypt -1 . So, presumably we will play Japan as a three way tie will go down to matches won/lost? Or does it, I dont know!

I think you've misunderstood. We play the runners-up from either group 3 or group 4, who as David says is Japan and Sweden. Which one is decided by a draw.

You are right that Group C was the most complicated and the 3 way tie resolved as Spain first, Japan second and Egypt third. In the 1st to 8th play-offs we play the second side in group C (Japan) or the second side in Group D (Sweden) - they get drawn into places 2 and 3 in the draw, with Czechia fixed in position 1 and us fixed in position 4. The draw should have taken place, but i can't find it as yet
The quarter-finals are tomorrow with the match selected for streaming being the one between 1st seeded Czechia and 4th seeds Japan (whose top ranked player Wakana Sonobe has played several matches against Brits this year, particularly Mika S). The winner of that match plays the winner of our tie with Sweden in the semis on Saturday. The Swedish team struggled against the strong US team in the last Round Robin match, though they were assured of qualification for the quarter-finals by then.

Thank you, David. Can we follow the scores somewhere for our tie against the Swedes?
