Watched a bit of Rhys - quite stock and has a solid serve and good all round game. Came across a huge Irish lad who starting serving bombs, but then his serving went array and Rhys had a straight forward win.
Jess Clarkson is quite short, but beat an out of sorts top seed.
Daisy Wooton, having qualified, elected to drop out, to the the TE event instead. That starts at Liverpool tomorrow(only room for half the first round draw)
Two or three mismatches in the girls, with very easy wins. Rosie Cho won a three and a half hour marathon than finished at 7.45pm

Celine's match ended in controversy with her opponent, who is a Surrey team mate, despite her nationality, losing the plot after a couple of contentious points in the last two points of the match.

Tx, again
I saw that Daisy was scheduled to play tomorrow in the U14 event
But assumed she'd at least play her R1 match here, in the J30 event - which could give her a ranking and might be very useful going forward. I don't really understand why that wouldn't have been sensible (unless she's tired from yesterday)
But she could have played R1 today and then withdrawn
I mean, it doesn't make much difference
She's playing both events anyway
But yes, I agree, weird choice, especially as she's not aiming to make the U15 masters or whatever
As she isn't allowed to play the TE until she has been eliminated from the ITF and has permission from the ITF supervisor on the release form, could it be that she would not have been given permission by the ITF supervisor to play the TE if she had withdrawn to play in another event having played in a main draw match, but she would get permission by declining the place in the main draw and allowing someone else the opportunity to play.

That sounds quite feasible - it does seem 'fairer' to give a LL spot than just to give your next opponent a walkover.
Would make sense from the ITF supervisor point of view
Still strange that she chose to do that in the first place (prioritise the TE event, that is). But that's a different question.
Sarah Copley was rather lucky to get through, she was poor for a set and a half.
Rosie played much better than yesterday against a good opponent.
Celine's match was quite tight - I had to leave to go next door to athletics at the end of the first set.
Liana played very well again against big serving Doherty.
Tuna and the Lithuanian girl are dangerous in the draw.
Sophie Johnstone got through despite struggling with her serve.
Eva lost a long baseline tussle against the Italian lucky loser, who Liana has already beaten and has nothing on her second serve.
Didn't see much of the boys games.
In the TE Daisy Wooton won, I saw Watson win a tough 3 setter v a Portuguese lad and the Brit/US player Adeniran - she is tiny and serves with both hands and changes hand to play forehand. She lost by the way.
