Boys & Girls: J60 Loughborough, GB - hard (Week 42)

Following last week's J30, there is now a week 2 J60 at Loughborough

Obviously quite a big overlap in terms of names

In the boys qualis:

wildcards have gone to Murray Watters, Harry Cornhill, Archie Gray and Alex Winder

In the girls qualis:

No wildcards

Hollie Smart and Edie Griffiths must have main draw wildcards

I think Shamiso Ndoro has one too. And maybe Celine Ricaud.

Lara Savic and Sophya Devas (two of last week's wildcards) are in the quali draw. As are lots of names I've never heard of, which is always interesting

 Spot on again, CD biggrin

In the boys, wildcards go to our two 2009-ers, Mark Ceban and Rhys Lawlor, as well as Harry Abel and Leo Wright

Special congrats to Conor Brady (Patrick's younger brother, I believe) who beat the 6th seed

And to Sai Gandepalli and Conor Flynn, for beating foreign lads

In our 2009-ers, Mark Ceban won but Rhys Lawlor lost in a third-set TB

R2 Girls

Very pleased for Isabelle Britton (2008), who's a little fave, but hasn't been very high profile in the last year. But she beat the 6th seed from Norway comfortably so well done to her

Hollie Smart (2009) also won no problem, as did top seed Freya, Alice Wilson-Marsh and Tegan Bush who are all 2008-ers. And Erin Pearce. One result still to come

Leaving the QFs as:

Freya Peet v Isabelle Britton

Alice Wilson-Marsh v (winner of Tia J-K v Sophia C)

Erin Pearce v Tegan Bush

Kliuch (UKR) v Hollie Smart

R2 Boys

Liam Channon (2008) has been impressive recently, and got a win over Conor Brady here today.

Sam Chadwick beat the Norwegian 8th seed. Mark Ceban (2009) won too.

So the QFs are:

(1) De Lange (NED) v Mark Ceban

Aryan Jit Singh v Liam Channon

Zech Hamrouni v Coffey (SUI)

Luke Hooper v Sam Chadwick

QFs boys

Liam Channon ('08) continues to impress - beating Aryan, the 4th seed.

And Zech took out the 3rd seed from Switzerland

But Mark Ceban couldn't make too much of an impression on the top seed.

So the SFs now are:

(1) De Lange (NED) v Liam Channon

Luke Hooper v Zech Hamrouni
