And Ben & Oli have just made the doubles finals, as have Mimi & Mika, so even better.
Ben will have a big jump - just eyeballing it, I make him to be somewhere about 110 (i.e. about 50 places higher)
I think Viktor will be about 80 (i.e. about 15 places higher)
Gabia should go up to about 145 (about 45 places higher)
Mimi, though, at the moment will not move. This only gives her 40 net points as of this week's counters, and next week she has 140 coming off so it's a straight swap (she also has excellent doubles points already).
These are all just on where they are now, of course, as semi-finalists..... all set to change, hopefully, tomorrow
Re Mimi - if she goes deep this week and with the J500 next week in Japan, presumably she could pass Hannah as British #1 girl in the rankings sometime in the next week or two? I dont follow the points too closely but with those two big events, even if she has points coming off?

I think she will be British number 1 if she wins her semi tomorrow, as Hannah has points coming off (just a slight question about whether the points come off this week as I assume, or the following week). No doubt if she wins the title here.

Thanks David - will follow with interest! And she will certainly be favoured to win the semi over Gabi .
If I've calculated it correctly whoever wins tomorrow would have a big career high: Victor in the WR 50s - around 55 including his points from doubles here and Ben around 72ish, also including his doubles win. They are currently CH 92 and 144 respectively, so a real boost to either of them. Even RU will obviously give them both a leg up.
A very profitable tournament for the Brits. Mimi's doubles title won't even register in her 6 counters (as CD hinted earlier), such is her prowess in this aspect, but it does give her a second good score to replace the two J500 counters that come off later in the year. Her singles final is as expected against the top seed.
It's Ben's first singles final above J100 level and today's wins should see him crack the top 100. He played Viktor in a J60 final last year, and won in 3

I've been (wonderfully and pleasantly) surprised by Ben's performance here
No livestream but his scores have been clinical
Has won all his matches in two sets. Not even got taken to a tie-break. I think the most he's lost in 5 games in a match. Just 5 ! Absolutely swatted away the opposition.
A real sea-change to his performances up to date. And backs up his win in Nationals in April.
He'd never got beyond L16 in a J300 or a J200 before this. And here he is in the final of a J300 (and probably favourite for the title)

I thought Ben was just going to fall away if Im being honest as his results werent really showing any sign of anything. but hes come out of knowhere This week To do really well and hopefully this starts a strong rise up the rankings now

Ben is in the Osaka draw, playing the 7th seed (ranked higher than Oli who top seeded here), so will be a tough ask if he recovers in time, as we hope.
