I am also surprised by Mark dropping out. Hollie may have only made the cut at the last minute, because 2 of the top 6 dropped out, so may not have planned to go. Mark though will have had to confirm his availability before last weekend's announcement, so perhaps he has picked up a niggle this week.

TE say he's withdrawn to join the junior Davis Cup team. Presumably Ben Gusic-Wan hasn't recovered from the cause of the retirement in Beijing and Mark's been called up to replace him?

Thanks for the TE update. Sad if Ben has been forced to drop out.  Hopefully Mark has been added as a precaution, with Ben doubtful, rather than a definite replacement.

It doesn't get any clearer

According to the ITF preview the Davis Cup Junior team is
Oliver Bonding, Zechariah Hamrouni, Mark Ceban

According to the LTA preview the team is
Oliver Bonding, Benjamin Gusic-Wan, Zechariah Hamrouni

Despite the different stories it looks very much to me that Ben is out, and replaced by Mark.  The team nominated by GBR in September was Oli, Ben and Zech.  The ITF would only have changed that in their preview if Ben had been replaced officially. The LTA person tasked with doing the preview was probably asked to do so weeks ago, and I imagine hasn't been informed about the change.

The LTA preview is here

The ITF preview is here
