I thought that was a foregone conclusion as a result, and Hep's tennis in that match was quite decent. A reasonable showing overall.

Really disappointing. Very passive. Never took the ball on. Not even to try it.

Yeah Ella was disappointing. Not been a great year in terms of showing progress.

Mimi does well to recover from missing two set points at *6-4 in the tiebreak to eventually win it 8-6. She started the tiebreak a little tense and passive but worked her way into it and was rewarded.

And she had quite a bad slip at 4-2 up in the TB - not hurt, but looked a little shocked to end on the floor

She did well to recover

8 aces to her opponent's 2

20 winners to her 12

But still a way to go

So impressed with Mimi winning 7-6 7-6. Not an easy opponent at all.

Brilliant win for Mimi! Her forehand and serve are strong!!! Backhand seems a bit of a problem, as well as movement. But I like how she'd chuck in slices to mix things up / defend. Clutch win.

Absolutely - someone who'd beaten her really recently - and she held her nerve very well

I love it when she keeps things simple

She has real weapons - SO many winners, so many quasi-winners.... but really on the basics

And completely different to yesterday, loved the way she waved to the crowd at the end, gave huge smiles to everyone, thrilled for her

Meanwhile Ranah was 2-5 down but came back to win the first set 7-5

The complete contrast to Mimi, Ranah has SO many tricks up her sleeve, so many options, but partly because of that lacks a whole load of lucidity - often seems in two minds, gets caught out, ends up in bother when she never should have been ...

Brilliant/ she is a fighter Mimi. Maybe turned the tide for the forthcoming matches. I like her play when she can get into mid court and her power shows. Well done Mimi

Super win from Ranah !

THat was one of the best matches I've seen of her - because she changed how she was playing, was far more lucid as to what was going on, how she was getting sucked into Charo's game, and asserted herself SO well

Lovely win 7-5 6-3

I don't think she's having problems smile Just settling in....

Mika did well - it was a tight set

Hannah broke straight back and it was on serve - and then played a slightly dodgy game and El Allami is serving for the set
