Fantastic. What a result for Henry and for British Tennis.

This young man looks like he has a solid future ahead.

What a result after 60+ years of waiting.

Much more dominant second set. Got the early break and never looked like getting broken

Absolutely brilliant. Such a great player. Just wish he had mentioned Damin in his speech who had so friendly about him in his own speech. They seen to get on very well anyway so I guess Henry just forgot to acknowledge him.

Henry very reliant on that huge serve, his opponent looks like his ground play is more solid.
Not sure he deserved that set.

Yes, really 50:50. But that wasn't typical. His groundshots normally are far more free-flowing and produce a lot of winners. Have a look at the earlier rounds if you have time.

So pleased when the ones you've been watching really step up - I mean, my goodness, to actually win Junior Wimbledon

AND he's a year early, although so are a lot of the others

He played with a lot of belief, really trusted in himself and didn't back off. Very fluid.

With Mark Ceban winning the U14 title and Henry winning the Junior title, it's been a brilliant week for GB boys' tennis biggrin

Marvellous result, congrats Henry!

That should give him a shot at the year junior tour finals, presumably? Theyve been re instated for November I believe ?

How does this win impact Henrys Junior Ranking?

Well done Henry, didn't drop a set all week. His serve is a monster when firing! I'll be interested in how his game carries onto the hard courts?

Should make him top 5 but not sure where he actually lands. My app says 4 but it's not always accurate.

It should move him to 6 by my calculation (Demin will be 1) but it is very tight, and only 7 qualify for the tour finals if Zhou is just outside the top 7 (likely).  The key to qualification will be the US Open - the final event before qualification ends

Well done Henry, great result!!

I noted yesterday that Draper's nemesis in the 2018 final, Tseng, is now languishing at WR 305 having had a CH of 83. Not sure if he's been out injured.

No, Tseng has just been on a very poor run since the clay season in 2022. Hasnt reached a semi final even at challenger level since losing to Alastair Gray at Wimbledon last year. Im sure hell be back.

Here is the ITF take on Henry's win, transition to the pros etc.

The BBC article includes a highlights package and video with the celebrations of Henry's Barmy Army

I'd love David C & Coup D's opinions on the places where Henry could improve. So much to like, but I felt the movement and defensive play is where they could/should focus. That will come with age and strength, of course. But it would be great to know your verdict, with the understanding that this is an amazing win, he should enjoy it and none of us should put too much pressure on him!

A winner on grass at Wimbledon and quarterfinalist on clay at Roland Garros (losing to eventual champion). Surely he can take this form onto hard court this summer.

Correct me if I'm wrong but does this win now guarantee Henry a shot at the main draw next year because I am fairly certain I remember Jack's opponent got into the main draw the year after winning Junior Wimbledon.

As for the rankings, Google say Henry will rise to 4 in the rankings from 25th :O.
