Am I reading this incorrectly.....although the scores says Ella McDonald lost, she's now gone through on the draw. Uh?

I think, unfortunately, it's more likely that the ITF draw is incorrect

the livescores is more likely to be right and the ITF person inverted the score

It says on the LTA ticker score Ella's opponent won.

ITF site now corrected, tennis ticker was correct and Ella lost

Pity. Perhaps the person inputting the score on the draw was as hopeful as we were. Wishful thinking!

Isabelle's opponent still to be decided but the quarters look to have a strong mixture of seeds along with the aforementioned Taylah Preston, who has cruised through the main draw. If she wins her next match she will gain an SE into Wimbledon, which would be good news for the Brits in the Wimbledon qualifying draw, which starts Thursday.

R3

(1) Clervie Ngounoue (USA) d. (WC) Given Roach 6-2 6-2
(5) Sayake Ishii (JPN) d. Mingge Xu 6-4 6-2
(WC) Isabelle Lacy d. (3) Lucciana Perez Alarcon (PER) 6-3 6-4
(8) Tereza Valentova (CZE) d. (9) Ella McDonald 6-1 6-4

QF

(7) Ena Koike (JPN) or (10) Nina Vargova (SLO) v (WC) Isabelle Lacy

So if Isabelle won, would she get an SE and free up a wildcard?

It's possible, but she probably needs one or two withdrawals.  At present she is shown as 4th alternate, and needs to make qualifying on her ranking in order to be eligible for an SE.  However there are 2 Aussies left in the draw, who would be eligible for SEs if they make the semis (Maya Joint and Taylah P) so it may be irrelevant.

2 Isabelle LACY (GBR)

3 Hephzibah OLUWADARE (GBR)

The discussion about the eligibility of Isabelle for an SE proved irrelevant as she lost her QF. Ranah & Mimi won again so are in the doubles semis. Hannah & Isabelle are currently on court, but need 2 wins to make the semis

QF

(7) Ena Koike (JPN) d. (WC) Isabelle Lacy 6-4 6-2

Hannah and Isa lost 10-6 in the match tiebreak.

Looks like the semis next for them? Are they playing as a pair at Junior Wimbledon ?
