Not wishing to be a killjoy but Emma is still
Probably favourite to end Wimbledon as Gb number one, the other players have points to consistently defend as Indy has pointed out elsewhere

I disagree.
For info Mr Killjoy ( ) the latest guaranteed post Wimbledon points are ( after Surbiton and Nottingham qualifying ) :
1. Emma 548 points
2. Katie S 467
3. Katie B 454
4. Jodie 393
5. Harriet 385
6. Heather 367
So yes, as I have indeed previously pointed out Emma could be the post Wimbledon GB #1.
But after the start some have had to the grass season and with the tournaments still to come I would say it is now more than likely that Emma will not be #1. It is not such a huge ask, particularly for the Katies, to accumulate the necessary additional points based on their latest form and how our women performed in last year's grass season

haha - I hope youre right!!! Not because I have any dislike for Emma, I just want to see people progress and move onto better things on court, than have our number one as a player who is off the court for a prolonged period of time. I guess even if not the grass, it is much more likely to happen before the US Open anyway?
Would be astounded if one of the others wasnt ahead by the end of grass season, especially as no one has any Wimbledon points to defend - a whole extra tournament of delicious grass points ;)
I think it is more a question of how many will be ahead of Emma.
yes, you are both/all probably right, but things dont always turn out as we hope and, as the other non GB players get more familiar with the grass and the events status ramps up from ITF to 250 to 500 to Slam, it becomes ever harder to get points.
Mr. Ailment, Mrs. Strain, Master Ache, and Miss Sneeze can call just when least expected. Fingers crossed the GB ladies manage to steer well clear of that bunch.
