Seems there is less interest in the Male WCs but Liam, Jan and Ryan are in a qualifying position so an upgrade to MD would be reasonable and George Loffhagens current form may earn him one but other than that there is no one really close to the qualifying cut off to justify one yet.

Yes, the huge gap of GB players in the 200-350 rankings is a big problem

Looking at the others, and dependent on how they play in the grass lead-up events, I think Arthur Féry might have a decent chance of a MD wildcard - he would be my most likely 'other'. George Loffhagen is also possible. Both are young, and quite highly thought of. And both playing well.

But it's going to be a hot contest for those quali wildcard spots

We've got a lot of contenders for those, not only guys who are very close in ranking but people like Anton who are good on grass. (Is Max still injured?)

There's one for Luca Pow already assured. And two for the Play-off competition. It's going to be a scrap for the others - it's bound to be contentious.

 yes 2 points here.

Recent decent players, from Murray, Evo, Edmund, Norrie, have actually created warped vision of our success. Like Evans said there is a dozen or so Argentinians ranked between 100-200, there is 18 Argentinians.

second, point Queens represents everything that is wrong about British tennis that Evans states. It is for toffs. Queens is a toffs club.

 Point 1 - We have a lot of female players 100 - 200.

Point 2 (I am a teacher) -  It is there are and toffs' club has an apostrophe.

Point 3 - What is your problem with toffs' having a club?

Point 3 - Nothing but it should not be Queens club. Until we stop making Tennis a Tory Toff Club then Dan Evans points will fall on deaf ears.

My stance on Queens is well known completely out of date and reeks of discrimination, bigotry and misogyny in those in charge and attend. Tory club essentially.

What you mean is that it should not have an ATP tournament.

One thing in defence of that tournament is that it must give out thousands of free ground passes to local residence to compensate for the disturbance, or certainly used to when my son lived near there a few years ago.  He wasnt even that close and there are masses of flats closer, so it must have been tens of thousands. He and his flat mates didnt have a car so werent affected by the extra traffic and lack of parking, but enjoyed going after work.

The irony that Jaggy used the word 'bigoted' made me laugh.  This coming from a man(?) who's views towards doubles players can easily be described as bigoted to be polite, in addition to which there wasn't a word of fact in your comment regarding Queen's club.  He is clearly full of illogical bitterness towards an event that is loved by players and officials and the millions who watch it on TV.
I will never understand the mindset of people like him and where your dislike of anything good comes from.

I should have noted in my post above (in which all the apostrophes disappeared - humiliating after my earlier comment!) that even those in the nearby council flats got given free ground passes.

Not getting involved with the politics, but south west London is hardly a disadvantaged part of the capital. Its mostly a gentrified area with a lot of affluence.

Like most places in London, there are pockets of affluence and poverty side by side.

My son works for RBKC - it is the most extreme range of affluence to poverty (from Sloane Square to Grenfell area) in the UK.

Yes, my son rented a room in an hour ex-council flat.  I dont suppose Queens Club differentiated by flats in that block which had been bought by their tenants and those which were still housing association-owned and were occupied by council tenants.
