Billy opens play on Court 6 today at 11.

Charlie and Dan are both due on third matches on their respective courts.

Today's action will possibly make things extremely tight at the top of this table

Billy gets the win, comfortably, and moves to 10. Charlie and Dan will be playing later to catch up.

Dan Cox comes back and gets the win also. Of the challengers, just Charlie to come, he is playing at the moment

End of Tuesday 18th and all the "big" guns win at the top, as Andy gets chased down. Emile also won to go equal 5th with Toby and Liam is still in action over the pond.

Tomorrow we have:

Billy v Patrick Brady
Dan v Will Jansen
Charlie v Arthur Bouqier

Youd expect to see Dan win over Will comfortably enough, Billy could be tested by Patrick but should win; Charlie versus the French player seems like a potential stumbling block, but let's see.

If they all win, Billy and Dan then meet in what could be a decider, Charlie would then possibly face Paul Jubb and in turn he might get to a possible decider as well. Quite exciting!!

Dan and Charlie are both on court at 11 am today so have a chance to take a jump on Billy who is due in court around 1230.

Today could be the day Andy is court, for the first time since this chase started

Charlie puts the pressure on and all of Billy, Charlie and Dan are now on 10 wins. Andy is top on 11.

Andy
Billy
Charlie
Dan.

ABCD - nice little pattern

Dan just won by the seat of his pants, Billy also won.

So the top 4 are now

Andy, Billy and Dan - 11 wins
Charlie - 10 wins.

Billy plays Dan tomorrow so one of them will go clear at the top, so Andy is out!

Charlie plays Millen and a win for him will make the semi versus Dan or Billy almost winner takes all.

Not sure if this is just an episode in keeping myself amused, apologies if no one else interested! I am finding it quite exciting!! Wish the LTA would make an official prize of it!! Haha

you never can tell and I dont wish to bore anyone (he says, probably too late for that!) and I will plug on to the dear end!! Haha.

I actually wish the women played these two events on grass post Wimbledon - why don't they?- as it feels the womens battle ended too soon...

I think they are short of grass courts just at the moment. The ten in use at the NTC are looking rather worn after hosting Wimbedon qualifying, whilst the other courts that were used aren't available right now - they were still taking down the last stand yesterday. I'm not sure wherelse they could play, with County Cup week starting on Monday (requires 9 grass courts at each of 14 venues)

ah - forgot about County Cup; not sure who is hosting that? There is a British Tour event in Giffnock, the Scottish Grass Court Champs, this week, maybe it could have been used although probably a whole heap of financial investment more than for British Tour...

The LTA County Cup is at 14 different sites - Eastbourne is the top one (may be mens and womens). I'm not sure about the other ones - I know Frinton and Felixstowe have mens this year after they moved some of the divisions around.
