Emma has yet to beat a top 10 player and there are four of them there. Making much progress here would be quite a challenge.

I would fancy Emma's chances against Ostapenko on any other surface but the latter will be favourite on clay.

It looks as if Emma is 4th on Centre court after a 12.00 start, but Bet365 thinks she will be on court at 11 am.

Theres no crowd as that was a practice session yesterday. I actually happened to see that as it happened as I was flicking through the practice streams.

ah, phew - that is ok then!! I always thought this was quite big event, so was surprised to see no crowd!! That explains it

Ostapenko teeing off winners for fun at the moment. Emma only winning points when the Latvian (just) misses. The additional week training on clay has really helped...
