One WTA point (her first) and three ITF points (making 4 ITF points). But she's only played seven senior tournaments, all in this country in qualifying.
I Really don't understand ITF points.
Don't bother
But we have the womens (Alice Gillan) and mens (Sean Hodkin) world number ones !!! Bother, do!!!
Nah
I'm happy for Alice and Sean - if they're number one, you're right, it's got to be good - but that's as far as I go - rather like not understanding LTA ratings/rankings - if you've got a good one, then great and well done, but I'm not spending grey cells following them
Good fighting spirit from Gabia but it doesn't look like she'll be following her sister into the main draw unless she really turns things round. Down a set and a break now. Her opponent doing well to keep Gabia behind the baseline.
EDIT: Hang on, I may have been harsh. Gabia breaks back in the second, but then again she did break back a couple of times in the first set.

Unbelievable. The pattern continued repeating itself: Gabia fails to hold, Gabia breaks back. Then Vojcinakova was serving for it at 6-5 only to get broken once again, and now a tiebreak.
This isn't unusual. Our ladies do it all the time and I would have been surprised if they had actually turned up.
Brutal
I don't intend to be brutal, but I've lost count of how many times I've been looking forward to watching our girls in the weeks they are down to compete, only to find they withdrawn at the last minute. I see Katie Swan has withdrawn from Switzerland today as well. I support them all and want them to do well so find it most disappointing when they miss out on opportunities to compete and improve their rankings.
