I was slightly surprised at the score and the result in joe mazingham match

Someone mentioned in another post that Joe M has now been dropped from the LTA's top-pick group. Which - if so - is not really suprising - he really has not had any results of any real value since as long as I can remember.

I think Joe was at the Loughborough academy, no? And now has been dropped? Again, if I'm wrong about that, apologies to him. But it's what I remember someone posting.

And Ceban wins 3&3. I think this really shows the current level he is at.

Currently 6-3 5-7 in Ceban's match

Oli Bonding won very easily.

As did Ben G Wan

And Alfie King is another semi-finalist.

Semifinals:

Oli v Alfie

Ben v winner of Mark/Zech

I hadnt really appreciated Oli is of course our top ITF ranked junior full stop - at u18 level, and of course this is u16.

How much would we expect this week to be a canter for him or is there a genuine chance someone like Ben or Mark C could push him hard?

Zech seems to have upset Mark? Says finished, 6-5 in the third - was there an injury??

Ben beat oli bonding about a month back at the 18u county cup so I think Ben could probably beat him and at there best I think Ben still does

 No, it was 7-5

Match was too long smile I only dipped in and out. The end was really tight - but in a good spirit.

Not sure you can say Zech 'upset' Mark, though - Zech is a lot higher ranked

Now says 7-5 in third on results. Sometimes the livescore does that....goes to completed before adding last game on.

ah, ok - not familiar with their history - how does Mark get to be seeded and Zech just a wild card if Zech is higher ranked (and isnt Mark in u18 field next week as well?)

Makes it interesting - I see Ben is in the 18's field as well next week.
