Very good    Great to see another fighting third set ( after a fighting second set ) which is so much more the norm than previously when for too long a fighting third set was an exception. Well done, Jodie.

Certain now to be a further new CH on Monday and hopefully she's not finished here. Live rankings already updated to show her as live 121.

That's a strong win, decent opponent and nice to see she can find a way through when it gets tough. Who's next?

29 points for the SF ( so far ) is a counter for both Freya and Ali. Replaces 25 points for Freya and replaces 18 points for Ali. Now showing as live ranked 121 and 122 respectively

And both now have no counters due off until August! So a big window to push their rankings a fair bit higher still.

Didn't watch it but just judging by the scoring you know she'd have lost that game last year. Well done Jodie

Doubles - seems to be Jodie's week

QF:- Jodie Anna Burrage (GBR) / Berfu Cengiz (TUR) CR737 (458+279) def Tayisiya Morderger (GER) / Yana Morderger (GER) CR590 (290+290) 6-4 7-5
They had match points at 5-3*, were broken to love for 5-5 and then took 8 of the last 9 points !

Well, Rouvroy has now just beaten the WTA 159, Elsa J.

So maybe she's a bit better than we'd given her credit for and it's not just Katie B who got a nasty surprise

Elsa must be sick of her. That's the 3rd time in the last 2 months Rouvroy has beaten her.
