Week 13 - ITF W60 - Croissy-Beaubourg, France Hard

I hand't noted that - thanks, Lambda

Mins you, Elsa is very 'young', I find, in her matches - she's 19, I think, so not a real junior, but it's often a bit all over the place

Great result - not impossible that Jodie could be British number 1 soon

Going into the match against Yanina Wickmayer, looking at the scores in their respective earlier rounds, I thought Jodie would have to serve very well to have a chance. Wickmayer's lowest first percentage won had been 73%, while on 2nd it was 58%.

Instead, Jodie had her worst first serve percentage of the week so far (47%), equal worst first serve points won (68%), usual 53% won behind 2nd. Jodie won the match by performing miles better on return than any of Yanina's other opponents this week. Wickmayer only won 60% behind her first serve and 29% on 2nd, despite just two dfs.

Live rankings not yet updated, but Jodie should be at a new CH of 115 - with a target of 109 for the title

Sorry, forgot to post this one as well. Freya and Ali lost the first set 6-7

SF:- Freya Christie (GBR) / Ali Collins (GBR) CR153 (126+127) [3] v Greet Minnen (BEL) / Yanina Wickmayer (BEL) CR378 (167+211) [1]

They met in the final at the W60 in Altenkirchen in week 7, so hoping for revenge today.

What chance a French Open direct entry? Although time is running short I imagine.
