Isabelle will now play the 2008 born Spanish girl, Charo Esquiva Banuls, who is kicking up a huge storm

She has just won a J200 in Spain, and was semi-finalist at the following J300 event.

She's turned 15 a few days ago, and the Spanish tennis press are getting extremely excited

Thanks for the heads-up CD - Banuls wasn't on my radar, but looking at her results Isabelle will have her hands full tomorrow. Hannah's opponent is the girl who Mika S beat in the Glasgow J100 final earlier in the year

Girls R2

(WC) Charo Esquivo Banuls (ESP) v (6) Isabelle Lacy
(8) Hannah Klugman v Sarafina Olivia Hansen (DEN)

If it wasn't clay, I'd go for Isabelle hands down

It seems to me that the levels of some of the high events in the past month hasn't been all that high - because there's been so many of them at the same time, it's all got diluted

(But that's only a gut feel - not a real scientific study - am I wrong, David?)

But being clay, I'm a little more wary - I can't see Isabelle's game being mega on clay

Still would go for Isabelle though....

Hannah's name has suddenly disappeared off the draw

Guess she's withdrawn (or never realised that she was still in there in the first place)

Hannah and Isabelle are shown in the doubles draw as having given a w/o so I think Hannah must have some sort of issue unfortunately. Yes the number of high grade tournaments has meant slightly weaker entry lists than at other times of the year reently, though Banuls defeated a girl of similar ranking, but better clay pedigree, than Isabelle in her last tournament, and was only stopped by Alena Kovackova, who completely dominated TE14 events last year.

Boys R1 (L48)

Andrii Zimnokh (UKR) d. Viktor Frydrych 6-3 6-1
