Did Katie get a bye to QR2?

Oops, no. I noticed I'd done that while I was typing out Heather's match and still forgot to go back.

Now corrected

Jodie broke for *2-1, lost the next 3 games, recovered to 4-4, then lost the set 4-6. Horrible first serve percentage (46.7%), winning 78.6% behind her first but only 18.8% on 2nd.

I started watching at *0-1 in 2nd set. Jodie poor play to hand RM a bp but saved with a backhand down the line winner, then ace and unreturned to hold.

In her next service game, Jodie was up 40-0, a Burrage drop shot got punished, then Robin with two super winners after 2nd serves, followed by horrible smash long from Jodie for bp which she saved with good play, then an ace and unreturned to hold.

Robin missed a lot of first serves in the next game but Jodie seemed to have wasted the opportunity when she hit her forehand crosscourt narrowly wide for 40-30 yet good play got her to 40-40, then back to 40-40, RM awful error back to 40-40, finally a Burrage bp after an aggressive f crosscourt, with RM's backhand error long after her serve for the break *3-2

Jodie started with a poor forehand into the net, then a backhand long, RM punished a 2nd serve for 15-40, unret, then Burrage backhand into the net for a careless loss of serve 3-3

RM df, df, Robin b error for 15-40, Jodie's return of a 2nd serve is long, after that 3 bps get saved with 2 RM good first serves and one initial groundstroke after a good 1st serve. More big serves to hold.*3-4

A series of easy holds to 5-5, then RM up 40-0, Jodie fought back to 40-40, only for Robin to take the next 2 points to hold for *5-6

At which stage the feed seemed to go from Austin as Bet365 had no idea what was happening in any of the 3 matches.

WTA website says Jodie lost 4-6 5-7

Jodie just looked very rusty. Shame as there were good points on offer this week.

Heather did well to grind that out, and Katie has forced Baptiste into an implosion from *3-5 down. 7-5 *5-0

That sort of draw isn't going to help Harriet get her ranking back up towards where it should be.
