Yeah I imagine it's some court time before she heads across the Atlantic for Austin, and Indian Wells if she gets in?

And not that the event is being advertised at all, but she is popular/known and it's always lovely to see the support and recognition she gets (as well as Michelle ha). Scotstoun is a council run leisure complex so you have people just in for a swim or to use the gym, or oldies for the cafe, who might pop their heads into the tennis courts for 15-20mins when they see the posters and then if they see she's playing stick around.

She's good with the kids too in terms of saying hello, photos etc... altough it's been half term so not many around.

Who is Michelle, that is mentioned?

 Her mum

 Ah ha. Fab!

Given Eliz's ultra long match yesterday, it was always pretty unlikely that she'd get a result today

She lost 3 & 2 to the 18 year-old

Which was a fair score

Decent effort from Eliz, she was just outclassed today.

Wonder if we are shaping up for a Watson/Kartal final, although Pattinama Kerkhove will be an obstacle to that.

Sonay just too much quality for the powerful but erratic Morvayova

6-2 *0-0

Maia in an even contest, saved a lot of break points then broke and served out the first, then missed a bunch in a game in the second and was immediately broken

6-4 2-4*

Kerkhove should have had her much done 45 minutes ago.

Sonay made life tricky for herself in the second but got it done 6-2 7-5

Maia battled to the end but just came up short 6-3 in the third.

Good win from Heather, although Ferro made some awful errors. Good to be off the court quickly with daily matches

Heather did well. As dominant as it was, it still felt like it could turn on a couple of points at any time. Good win.

Em and Sato had a rough time in the doubles, couple of early deuce points didn't go their way but they were pretty flat and seemed a bit disconnected (from the match, not each other, looked like they got on really well and Sato and the London-based coach she is with just now seemed keen to soak up some of Em's experience). Was nice to have a quick chat with Em earlier after all these years - shame I wasn't quite the lucky charm I'd hoped, although I did see her win yesterday over the Stirling Uni girls so that's something. She's dealing with a lot off court as we know so just hope some of that can resolve itself positively, it's a lot to carry on your shoulders.

Emma and Maddie did really well last night to win their first round but didn't quite have the quality to challenge today. If they can get through this match today Maia and Ella are a good shout for the title.

I'm trying to watch Heather's match but it's very annoying as the scoreboard isn't updating.
