Talia's opponent has scored a total of 10 games in the last three British ITf's. Doesn't seem as if this really justifies her being the recipient of three consecutive qwc's!

Hopefully Katy got through the match unscathed even if she'll be gutted to have come so close

Matilda should have won the 2nd set several times over by now but five times she has played a drop shot and lost the point every time.

I was just thinking this. Dont know if it's a confidence or focus issue or what, there were a couple of really good ones earlier in the set at least, but it shouldn't be a go to shot so often.

Now 6-5, although she lived dangerously in that last game.

Oh dear. 5-1 down in the tiebreak. Could be curtains for Matilda.

EDIT: Yeah, Morvayova takes it in straights, 6-2, 7-6

Well, there was basically one player generating all the pace in that tiebreak, and one player leaning backwards, trying to anchor herself, absorbing all the pace...

Twice Matilda had a point for a double break and each time played a drop shot, lost the point and then went on to lose the game. Serving for the 2nd set she played a drop shot and gave her opponent a break point which she took. Without that she could well have won the match as she was dominating the play. She needs someone to help her with shot selection.
