Hannah Klugman plays her 11th ITF tournament since her 13th birthday. That is slightly puzzling, as the rules only allow 10 for 13 year olds, but I guess that Wimbledon is not counted against her allocation, because of the lack of points. She is joined by Viktor Frydrych, Freddy Blaydes and Luke Hooper, the latter having won a 16-14 match tiebreak to qualify.
Hannah is scheduled fifth on court 3, and there appears to be a livestream here
(WC) Justin Engel (GER) d. (Q) Luke Hooper 7-6(5) 3-6 6-2
(4) Albert Saar (SWE) d. Viktor Frydrych 6-7(3) 6-4 6-4
Freddy Blaydes d. Filip Stidell (SWE) 6-4 7-5
R2
Freddy Blaydes v (2) Vit Kalina (CZE)
Girls R1 (L32)
(8) Hannah Klugman d. (WC) Philippa Faerber (GER) 6-3 6-0
A good effort from Freddy, who is through to the doubles semis as is Viktor+. Hannah now has to play the strong talented top seed Nikola Bartunkova, who was ranked in the junior top ten until recently, as well as the WTA top 300. In Hannah's previous tournament (Bratislava, which Bartunkova won) i expressed puzzlement about why Nikola was playing there, so with this repeat scenario I investigated. It appears that in an analogous way to Hannah she is restricted by the Age Eligibility Rules. Nikola used up her allocation of Pro events 3 months ago - which explains why her WTA ranking has now slipped outside 300. Like Hannah she has a late February birthday, so only has the option of junior events until then. Higher grade junior events would be more challenging for her, but I notice that she has yet to play an ITF (Junior or Women's) outside Europe/Israel. Hence cost or concern about her carbon footprint (or fear flying) may be dictating her current schedule.
The match tomorrow is second on court 3 (streaming link in the first post) with the first match on at 9am GMT
It certainly looked a high quality match judging from the few minutes I saw. There was some joy for Viktor though in the doubles (Freddy+ were well beaten)
Boys Doubles final
Romano/Sciahbasi (ITA) v (4) Frydrych/Saar (GBR/SWE)
Absolutely amazing scoreline from Hannah - and accolades about her play on forums all over the world
The top seed who beat her has very comfortably won her match today ....
Easily won the final as well. In fact the most games anyone other than Hannah managed to win was 6. Compared to 18(including tiebreaks) for Hannah. Unlucky to have met her in the 1/4 final stage.

Great that she did meet her though and produced such a performance. Well done.
