Mark got a point last week to break into the ATP rankings

Been really finding his feet in adult tennis this summer, playing good ball, and developing the mental toughness and belief, that he belongs there. Not easy to keep up the level thoroughout an entire match

But today, in R1 at ATP50 Challenger in Roehampton, Mark just blew away a top-500 player - 6-1 6-3, over Shepp WR 498

Real style, and class, in doing so too

Back in the day, Bob would be typing furiously now in the PoM thread getting his nomination in!

Does anyone know if Mark is likely to go down the college route? Or still too early to know, as assume he has another year of A-levels to finish off.

Mark is up 957 places to WR1140 biggrin

Mark was runner-up in the J300 in Spain

And a little unlucky as he was the better player when it was outside on hard, but rain intervened and it got moved to clay indoors.

But he now has broken into the juniors top-20

, which is a good milestone

Also worth noting, there are an unusually large number of 2008-ers in the top-20 at the moment - 11 of them in front of Mark

So, if nothing changed, he is 8th in the world at the moment, for his age
