That was a complete walk in the park - I've never seen Dan Jade before but he really didn't have a very good match (according to those who know him better)
But it wasn't just a poor match from Dan
Mark was serving at 180-195 kph for all his frist serves, whereas Jade managed only about 160 kph or so - it's a huge difference and no explained just by height, as Jade isn't a little kid (although smaller than Mark, obviously)
And Mark's groundshots has a lot more depth and pace on them, more 'pentrating', they really go through the court. And he had time to put together his schemas of play, and just was never troubled in the slightest (some of his other matches this week have been a lot more challenging)
So, that's the second British boy ever to win. I hope he manages a bit more success in ATP adult tennis than the previous one (Matthew Smith in 1998)
Either way, a huge congrats to Mark, and to his team - brilliant couple of weeks.
And given - IMHO - Hannah would probably have won the girls, we'd have had a GB double - so all good
PS for those who care, the commentators put Mark at a dometic ranking of between 0 and -2 which is higher than nearly all British Tour players, for instance (they reckon the girls are about -4 to -15, which is normal, as the girls will always be higher, as the difference is less)

Yes, one of the most pleasing aspects was seeing the clear improvement in some areas such as groundshot penetration compared with the middle of last year. Having a final against his doubles partner may also have helped - knowing Daniel's game quite well and knowing that he would be able to cause Daniel more problems than vice versa (he was caught out by his dropshots early on, but they soon lost their effectiveness)
Final is second match tomorrow - the girls starts at 1pm GMT (not featuring top seed Ksenia Efremova, who lost easily today to Anna Pushkareva). Mark plays his doubles partner (they won together in Bolton but not here)
F
(3) Mark Ceban def. (6) Daniel Jade (LBN) 6-3 6-2
Daniel Jade (now FRA) lost to Mark Ceban in Les Petits As final this year.
And has now won the U14 Masters at Monte Carlo
(Mark dropped out - no real interest in him playing, and team commitments too)
DANIEL JADE: JUNIOR MASTERS CHAMPION
We have our first winner in Monte-Carlo as Daniel Jade wins the 14&U boys' crown 6-1 6-1 over Kaan Kosaner
