....and another 3 foot faults in set 2 (or at least I heard one of the commentators say it was his sixth, late in the second set). But Mark turned it round to become the first British boy in the finals since Liam Broady in 2008 (Laura Robson was also a finalist that year). The match always seemed on his racket, with the Turkish lad playing a neat game, but reliant largely on Mark's errors. Mark generally got the risk-reward balance right later on, and showed some nice net skills at times to finish off points where he was dominating.

(3) Mark Ceban d. (5) Kaan Isik Kosaner (TUR) 1-6 6-1 7-5
Saw two sets- thought Mark did SO well in the second - he had a couple of other tric
And tricky moments - overturned line calls, dead let ball
As well as foot faults
Mega congrats to him - will try and watch set 3 on catch up
Final is second match tomorrow - the girls starts at 1pm GMT (not featuring top seed Ksenia Efremova, who lost easily today to Anna Pushkareva). Mark plays his doubles partner (they won together in Bolton but not here)
A little mention and shout out to Joshua Johns who narrowly lost the wheelchair boys final here
Well done, Josh - really good week
Indeed - and Josh is world ranked 6 in the boys bit almost all tne players above him like Oda ( who was in the AO mens final) and Ben Bartram , our top junior, are now playing the main tour.

(6) Daniel Jade (LBN) v (3) Mark Ceban
Just for info, Jade has recently completed his French nationality application, and is now French (dual nationality presumably) and - assuming nothing goes wrong - will be playing for France as soon as the paperwork goes trhough at the ITF (supposedly it is all being reviewed at the moment)
He's here with the Normandy federation at the moment, where he lives with his family, and trains (at Honfleur)
