Saw Kerkhove beat Kartal at Wimbledon and was impressed.. Not sure why she has not gone higher.

Why would someone accept a WC if they weren't fit to play - thereby depriving someone else of the opportunity? I do understand that injuries and illness occur but this feels all wrong somehow. And the no 10 Q seed seems very lucky to have got in to the main draw when there were 4 higher ranked losing seeds including Emily at Q8. What a frustrating day to be a British tennis fan.

Got big points to come off in the coming month from her two W25 titles last February. But short term Sonay is live 194 and will certainly take out her CH 198 on Monday.
