Never really want to see players jump ship to doubles from singles but Christie's at that ranking now where she might be forced to make a choice very soon.

80 points for winning the title (I think that's net 65 for Ali and 62 for Freya) giving them both a jump of 29 places according to Coric. Well done for winning the title in line with their seedings in what was an average field.

It remains to be seen whether Freya can climb the singles rankings, but at 25 years old it needs to happen quite soon.

I don't see it happening in singles for Freya. But certainly it looks like she could have a crack at the top 100 in doubles and play the main tour that way. Each to their own.

Jumped even more cumulatively from the 16/01 to the latest 30/01 rankings.

Ali is up 31 places to WR 127 and Freya is up 36 places to WR 135.

Well, folks on here and our women players may not have enjoyed Sunderland , but it hasnt stopped Beyonce!

Beyonce in Sunderland - somebody has done a good job on that one!
