Boys & Girls: Tennis Europe U14 Junior Internatinal, Bolton, indoor acrylic (Week 3)

The Category 1 under 14 event in Bolton regularly precedes Les Petits As, one of the two leading events for this age group.  There are 48 draws in both the boys and girls, which you can view here

Round 1 matches are taking place today, with quite a lot of British interest, given there are only 3 British seeds (Mark Ceban (1), Leo Wright (16) and Hollie Smart (10)) who therefore have byes.

Live scores are available here, with early winners including Neo Armus, Rhys Lawlor, Bethany Pratt and Pavana Nrshinga

(1) Mark Ceban v Rhys Lawlor

Girls R3 (L16)

Both Mark and Hollie have won easily

Caught the last bit of Hollie's match on Youtube, which was impressive and reflected the score

(Edie lost rather easily too)

Last time this tournament was held (2020) Mimi Xu won it beating Hephzibah Oluwadare in the final. British boys in the final are rare (I cannot remember any in the last few years) so well done to Mark, who is back on court 8 for the final at 9.45am tomorrow

F

(1) Mark Ceban v (9) Marcel Latak (USA)
