As well as Dani P
But Hep slips out of the top-100
Lower down, the tournaments in Africa have yielded big moves up too, with young Freya Peet now in the top-500, and Grace and Alisha (both 2009-ers) doing well

I meant double win, sorry, as in both

I've changed it

(Don't care in the slightest about uk number 1)

hah, yes, I know in juniors it doesnt matter to you or as much generally. Nonetheless I guess if we track rankings as a thing, then there must be something in being our top player , even if only to get the kudos and pride of being that player?

It's fine, each to their own smile

I have no interest in adults either - it's nothing to do with adults v juniors - the only time I ever look who is GB number 1 or 2 or 3 (or whatever) is when I'm trying to do the year-end predictions biggrin

To me tracking the rankings is only about tracking the global standing, the fact that it's a GB list (and so someone must be top) is just a presentation, admin thing

it is a fair point and I know players like Evo have exactly that view as well, so well shared as a POV!

The current Tennis Europe race rankings are significant as they form the basis for entry to the Masters event in early November. The leading Brits are:

Boys

Mark Ceban 1
Rhys Lawlor 11=

Girls

Hollie Smart 8

Mark's ranking qualifies him directly obviously, but Hollie's doesn't. However 2 higher ranked girls (European Champion Luna Vujovic and former number 1 Ksenia Efremova) have opted out, so Hollie is also in the list which has been revealed. All the top 8 ranked boys are included, with details/profiles here

From David's link, and just for clarity, these are the top players who've chosen to enter the Masters.

A couple of points of note, for me: there are three Turkish lads in the top 8 boys - is this normal? Some reason the Turks do better in U14s and then fade? Or a real exciting cohort coming through?
Also, in the girls, Jana K is 2010 born, and Hollie is the only non-Eastern European player......

Boys 14 & Under

Mark Ceban (GBR, Race Rank: #1)
Kaan Isik Kosaner (TUR, #2)
Samim Filiz (TUR, #3)
Tomas Krejci (CZE, #4)
Daniel Jade (FRA #5)
Marco Ontiveros Castro (GER #6)
Mustafa Ege Sik (TUR, #7=)
Savva Rybkin (#7=)

Girls 14 & Under

Giulia Safina Popa (ROU, Race Rank: #2)
Jana Kovackova (CZE, #3)
Anna Pushkareva (#4)
Sara Oliveriusova (CZE, #6)
Ioana-Stefania Boian (ROU, #7)
Hollie Smart (GBR, #8)
Oliwia Sybicka (POL, #9)
wild card TBC
