Play-off WCs will go to
Winners of UKPL this week
Winner of Progress Tour Cromer (men only, nothing for women)
Winners of Premier BT West Worthing

The remaining are ranking based
Highest ranked NCAA player to sign in (providing they're in the top 100)
Top 2 junior ranked girls (currently Ella & Ranah) or 3rd junior ranked girl (currently Mimi) if either of those already has a qWC

Women 1 discretionary WC
Men 2 discretionary WCs

great, thanks Lambda , that is very clear!

Looks like the Progress Tour, Cromer, event takes place next week also

https://www.theprogresstour.com/event-info/10-000-prize-money-series-cromer-2

presumably if any of those qualifying routes goes to someone who gets into qualies via a WC or into the play offs via ranking (or duplicates a position) it reverts to an additional discretionary wild card?

Correct

Just to point out. The women's rankings shown on the LTA website (as posted by Lambda) are a mix of WTA and ITF rankings. Only Emma and Abigail have WTA rankings - the other rankings are ITF.

I've been waiting to see Will Jansen around - I thought he must be going to put in an appearance

In fact, I was pretty sure I saw his dad at Surbiton (but possible, of course, that I'm an idiot and it was just someone who looked like him....)

thanks Tenniscat and welcome to the board as well!

Alfie has done well, then, those are good wins. Havent had time to check his QF result yet. Has he got a big serving game? The scorelines in those matches (7-5 6-4 ish) suggest someone who can hold serve well, though that is just a guess

Just as a reminder:

William Jansen is our ex-National Champion U18s

Who played in Wimbledon qualifiers

Very good game on grass

It's been a convincing run by him so far

Will be very curious how he does against Giles
