Youd think it would be Norrie, Evans, Draper. Neal & Joe? Neal & Evo for the doubles? Did well on clay at Monte Carlo in 2021?

as a 5 man squad you would expect this to be the case.

On clay in Colombia?

Singles - not sure why Andy would play or be picked on clay, surely it wouldnt be in his interests so those first three would make sense.

Doubles - Jamie - has done ok in the past on clay and has a Colombian wife - not sure if that makes any difference? and hasnt Lloyd done well on clay, not sure if he might contend against one of Joe or Neal

and would all of them want to travel down there for a week at that part of the season? Might impact who plays?

I did think Lloyd as he has also played a bit with Dan. Although Id imagine Lloyd might only play if Joe decides not to.

I can see that happening, Joe choosing not to play the clay.

But let's see what happens. Interesting team isnt out yet, wonder if there is still some discussions going on within Leon's camp?

And indeed it is.

Re being on clay, I think that's much more relevant for singles as against doubles.

And I think success at the Aus Open will also factor in, given the time difference and short turnaround between tournaments and surfaces. I suspect we need a little longer to readjust to the clay compared to our opponents.

Mardy Fish has been sacked as US captain and Rajeev Ram has been selected by the USTA in the absence of a captain.

Need one of our singles players to beat Galan as the number two should be beatable twice. Should be a winnable match
