$800k between the five of them isn't bad is it...

And I believe making the semi finals guarantees you a spot in next year's finals, irrespective of where it ends up being held. So no qualifying play offs for us to stress about either!

I'm afraid not. It is just the two finalists that get automatic entry, plus the nine winners of the qualifying playoffs, plus one Wild Card. So we need to win another round wink

Does it just go to the players, or do the whole support team get a cut as well ? Surely Ann would get a reward ?

I'm not certain how many are involved, but if it was say 16 then it is still an average of $50k each.

Great result from the girls and delighted for Liv and Lissy. What a year they have had. Their hard work paying off. Just super pleased right now for Team GB.

Given that Heather (and others) love the team aspect, maybe our players should be put in teams and over the season gain points towards a mini league.

I'm on my way up to Glasgow for this afternoons session, I'm just pleased there is still some hope!

Bet you had a great day, Mark biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Haha it was an amazing day! I had actually edged my bets and bought semi final tickets on Saturday as I though we might sneak it!

Can not believe how well all the girls played, Heather was top 30 -20 quality and Harriet with her fighting spirit and intensity. Olivia was solid as a rock and Alicia whipping the crowd up into a frenzy and then feeding from it. Just amazing.

Spanish girls did seem a but tired. Paula's forehand is a thing of beauty when it's on.

So, after the mega jubilation, my question is:
Was Emma Raducanu there?
I didn't see her...
And, if not, why not?

(Also, how does Badosa look herself in the mirror today, having played SO god-awfully yesterday?)

No sign of Emma. I did spot Sonay though.

Paula looked extremely down when she rejoined the group to watch the doubles, as did Nuria.

So chuffed for them! Especially for Alicia and Olivia - what a huge year they're having. So awesome to have a strong all British women's doubles pairing.

It makes a point of saying player purse on the website.

Quite right too!

For folk that missed all or most of the tie vs Spain it's all there on iplayer. Kinda quite emotional even when you know the results.
