After blowing 5 match points in the previous game Katie serves it out with two aces to finish 3-6 6-1 6-2.

I thought Katie performed well in the 2nd and 3rd sets, though she required a bit of help to get the initial break back. Didn't see the opening set. She mixed up her serve far more than on other occasions I've seen her. Finished with back to back aces. So many service points in the 3rd set won either by her serve or setting up an easy winner on her first groundstroke.

Any idea how many points Cam and Katie will have got for these two wins? I know someone did explain it earlier in the thread but it's all a mystery to me!

Because we beat Australia 3-2 , we almost certainly also need to beat Spain overall as well- otherwise we will probably go out on match wins difference. So we need one of tomorrows matches somehow. Spain probably still favourites in the two singles matches so could all be in mixed - Evo and Harriet v Rafa and Badosa? Nice

I think Dan is our best doubles player in that team so I wonder if they will keep him fresh and get Jan to play the 2nd singles.

Why would we throw a perfectly winnable match?

Has Cam beaten a current world number 2 before ?!

Apparently not nor a current WR 1 as I have read that it is a CH win.

Can't unless ill or injured. The top 2 ranked must play the 2 singles matches.

So the captains job is basically to pick the mixed doubles team. Where do I apply?
