I know the purists don't approve of on-court coaching but I thought it added quite a bit to the competition, not sure we would have got as far as we did without Tim Henman's constant encouragement.
Good run though by team GB. Picked up some good wins. Enjoyable event.
Yes, overall a good event, offering very good matches for players prior to the Aus Open.Yes, I don't like the 6 groups of 3 etc format but ultimately the tennis has won out.
USA lead GB 2-1 Greece and Croatia are 1 each Italy lead Poland 2-1
USA ( 11-2, 23-7 ) vs GB ( 8-5 ,18-15 ) Greece ( 9-3, 19-10 ) vs Croatia ( 9-3, 19-9) Poland ( 8-5, 17-12 ) vs Italy ( 10-3, 21-8)
If my maths is correct, GB cant possibly do better than the loser of Greece and Croatia. Nor Italy. So Poland is our only hope unless we win both remaining matches. For that to happen, we probably need Poland to lose both remaining ties against Italy; Linette is playing Bronzetti next up in that - go Bronzetti.
But our most likely chance to progress is to beat the States - Evo is now 1 set all against Tiafoe so in a battle
So Croatia and Italy both 10-5? Who goes through please?
The semi final ties are structured so that, if it went to seeding, the #1 seeded country would play the best RU.
In other words the winner of the city final featuring the winner of group A would play the best RU. If that had resulted in a city final rematch the ties would have been switched so the highest seeded country in the other tie played the best RU.

So , yes, that Works with Greece winning group A and playing Italy as best runner up in the semis
Yes, 3-1 now to Italy. At least Tsitsipas won his singles to avoid both SFs being won after just 1 match on day 2,. Playing two ties over two days at the group and SF stages, rather than complete ties on one day, has been another strange feature of the format.
