Strange format. GB or US should both qualify for the semis if Evo wins.

probably not, to be honest - if we win the mixed, then yes. If we lose the mixed and the match overall, we are unlikely to make it through. The results in the other ties so far (as well as previous rounds) mean that on results countback, we are probably going to end up weakest of the 3 losing teams and thus miss out on the 1 place available.

But first, if Dan wins and we win the mixed, that wont be an issue!

Just updating Indy's post above

USA lead GB 2-1
Greece and Croatia are 1 each
Italy lead Poland 2-1

USA ( 11-2, 23-7 ) vs GB ( 8-5 ,18-15 )
Greece ( 9-3, 19-10 ) vs Croatia ( 9-3, 19-9)
Poland ( 8-5, 17-12 ) vs Italy ( 10-3, 21-8)

If my maths is correct, GB cant possibly do better than the loser of Greece and Croatia. Nor Italy. So Poland is our only hope unless we win both remaining matches. For that to happen, we probably need Poland to lose both remaining ties against Italy; Linette is playing Bronzetti next up in that - go Bronzetti.

But our most likely chance to progress is to beat the States - Evo is now 1 set all against Tiafoe so in a battle

Evo had it at 5-5 40-0* in the second but seems to be falling away now a break down in the third. Good match though.

Harriet lost to Pegula, so GB 2-1 down. All on Dan to keep this time alive but has just lost it to Tiafoe.

Dan loses in 3 sets and Linette is 6-1 up on the Italian - so it looks like we are sadly out of this.

Nonetheless a decent week and Cam in particular and Katie come out with a lot of credit I would say.

Given we are now out I'd like to see someone who hasn't been on yet have a match, never seen either Stoiber or McDonald play before

Hmm. Apparently there is a small chance we could go through, need to win this mixed doubles and hope Poland lose mixed doubles

Cam and Katie were awesome. Loved watching the highlights - so great to see Cam really ready to go. Katie going toe to toe with Maddie's forehand was very encouraging for a top 100 spot. Very exciting year ahead barring any injuries *touches wood*
