Was a bit confused to wake up to Radio 5 Live tell me that Harriet had beaten Badosa to make it 2-1 in the tie.

Anyway, now that I see unfortunately that it's the 2-1 bit that was right, c'mon Dan.

And yes, with the crazy system and then qualification criteria for the 4th semi finalist ( best overall record of the venue losng finalists ), even if Dan wins we should be going all out for the doubles too.

Well certainly didnt fancy our chances when given this group. But great effort. USA or Germany next I guess. Not sure on the tiebreakers for the groups.

USA beat Czech Rep. 4-1 and Czech Rep. have beaten Germany 3-2 so in the USA vs Germany tie, USA just need 2 wins or the Germans need to win 4-1. Czechs are out of it

Let's win the doubles here though for a nice 4-1 win.

If USA beat Germany or lose 3-2 , they get through I believe . If Germany win 4-1 or better, they get through. I think as it would be a three way tie, so goes on win loss matches as opposed to head to head?
