Boys & Girls: J1 Sanxenxo, Spain, hard (Week 42)

Henry Searle, Hugo Coquelin, Freddy Blaydes and Given Roach have been in qualifying here without joy - Henry and Hugo missing out in final set tiebreaks in their final qualifiers.  It's only a 32 draw, so the opposition for those in the main draw is strong, but all 5 Brits in it should think they have a decent chance to progress

Boys R1 (L32)

Federico Bondioli (ITA) v Phoenix Weir

Branco Djuric (SRB) v Luca Pow

Girls R1 (L32)

Mingge Xu v Barbora Michalkova (CZE)

(6) Amelia Waligora (BEL) v Hephzibah Oluwadare

Sarah Iliev (FRA) v Isabelle Lacy

Better news from the doubles where today Hep and Mimi advanced to the semis (opponents tbd) at the expense of Isabelle and partner via a match tiebreak. It is the first Grade 1 doubles semi for both. Hugo/Phoenix and Freddy+ lost in the quarters.
