Other events, 2022 - week 41


Santo Domingo, J4

Athina Schlepphorst (2007) won her R1 match, in singles and doubles 

 

NB I've no idea really what this is about but:

Turkey, J5:

Tia Jakupovic-Kljako also won her R1 in singles and dubs

 

France, J5:

Alana Bristow lost in R1

 

Nicaragua, J5:

Luca Stopforth lost in R1

 

Armenia, J5:

Brooklyn Bamburac lost in R1, but got a win in the dubs

 

Sri Lanka, J5:

Sireena Waas won her R1 match 

 

Kuwait, J5:

Issah Ali lost in R1 (dubs still to play)

Bothe Allegra K Davies and Sophie Bekker had BYES into round 2

 

Portugal, J5:

Rhys Watters, Chalrie Ruffell, Kit Henderson, and Enricho Franchi all lost in R1

Kit got a win in the doubles though 

Again, better in the girls with R1 wins for:

Isabella Gibson, Sorcha Caves, Emma Cohen and Niamh Egan 

But losses for Macy Denney-Richards, Eva Senior, and Sienna May

Isabella Gibson and Emma Cohen are now our only reps still left in the singles

Tia Jakupovic-Kljako won her R2 in singles and is into the QF, but lost her dubs


Portugal, J5:

QFs: Emma Cohen won but Isabella Gibson lost (against the top seed) (Sorcha and Niamh lost in R2)

Kuwait, J5:

QFs: Allegra K Davies lost but Sophie Bekker (born 2008, age 13, one of your youngest ITF players) won her match, against a higher seed, and is now into the semis


Turkey, J5:

Tia Jakupovic-Kljako lost her QF

Croatia, J4:

Vlada Kozak made the QFs in doubles, and won a round in singles

Sireena Waas got a walkover in her R2 match - the weather's obviously been a major issue there this week - they're still at R2 stage.....
