Would be nice if a few could go deep this week and bump up their rankings.
The two girls could easily break into the top 100 with a run.

To get three out of eight through to the semis is a very good show.

Of course, two of them are our U18 national champions, so that's all well and fitting, I guess (although Mimi is standout, being 2007-born, whereas Luca is 2005)

Henry Searle (2006) is also one of my favourites - got a lot of time for his tennis.

Do you think Will and Ella could be in danger of losing their top GB junior world rankings by end of season? To any of these here or others?

Will's a 2004 so he's out at the end of this year so it doesn't really matter if he's number one or not

Fair comment - I was thinking just in terms of the prestige , if there is any, of being top junior.

Normally, when I see the entries at US colleges etc, you see 'British player, ex-No 1 junior' or some such phrase.

ie. it doesn't matter whether they were number one at the end of the year, or half-way through the year

Will's already got the prestige of being top junior for all that it really matters. Of course, having it at the end of the year might be nice for him too, and he can decide whether it's worth his while to play more junior events to try and secure it -but most players don't really care, not right at the end, which is why all the players like Pat Brady don't care about the prestige, but the pathway, and are therefore playing adult events.
