good and promising news ! Is she still working with Tursunov or did that fall away as well?

Tursunov has been courtside for every match - looks to be working well.

As to be expected at this level, a tough match coming up in the semi-final against Ostapenko who breezed past the young Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva from Andorra, although she did have two tough three setters in the earlier rounds.

I thought Magda Linette seemed jaded from the start. A few good shots from her but plenty of rallies ended with a Linette error.

Emma was less aggressive today, picking her moments to attack. 2nd serve seemed passive and didn't play great behind it either. Amazingly, only lost one 1st serve point.

I liked the backhand crosscourt winner to take the opening set and the well constructed point, ending with a volley winner in her first service game. The Raducanu forehand down the line was impressive. Played well to save 3 bps early in the 2nd set, having lost the first 7 points after a very slow start to the set.

I thought this tournament would provide a good chance for Emma to break out of the two wins per tournament limit she has been in since winning the US Open and so it proved. It would be a huge step up to beat Jelena, but not impossible in Emma's present mood. Fingers crossed!

Good to see Emma getting three wins in a row this week.
Don't think she will get past Ostapenko but who knows.
Be interesting to just see the score and how she plays that match.
But overall since the US, she is getting wins and not losing in the first round of every event so I feel positive for her.

Emma is third on Centre court again, so it should be around 7.30am tomorrow.

Many thanks for the time but I suspect I will still be east of Eden.

How the tables can turn. She looks very uncomfortable to say the least.
