Other events, 2022 - week 34

A good run from Allegra: final, semi, semi, WR, final in her last five tournaments.

Good news from Ghana, J4, with two semi wins in the girls, leading to:

Final: Allegra K Davies (GBR) (age 14) v Isabella Wong (GBR) (age 15)

Also, Sophia Quagraine has made the doubles final (with partner from 'MLI' - Mali?)

Roy Keegan lost his singles SF

And his dubs SF, by 10-12 in the MTB :(

Isabella lost her dubs SF by 12-14 - even worse - although she's got the singles wins so who cares?

Poland, J5:

QF losses for Dan Hughes and Amelia Tye but Enrico Franchi+ is into the doubles final, after a really close match

Roy Keegan's result has been reversed - he won

It was close but no joy for Hannah against the top 2007-er in France:

Spain, J3:

FINAL: Mathilde Ngijol Carre (2007) (FRA) def. Hannah Klugman (2009) (GBR) 7-5 6-3

Will be a big boost for Hannah's ranking though, a runners-up prize is a big achievement at her age, and great experience on the clay.

Worth mentioning, just as comparison, that Ksenia Eframova, for instance, the Russian 2009-er who everybody has been making a song and dance about for the past few years is only playing a U16 Tennis Europe event this week - the difference in standard is marked.

Ghana, J4:

Unless they reverse it again, this time Roy really did lose - but well done for making the final of a J4 - it's his best result to date

Nix was on the ball for the girls:

Allegra K Davies beat Isabella Wong 4-6 6-4 6-2 - an excellent tournament for someone still age 14 - and, again, her best win to date

And

Shout out to Sophie Quagraine who took the dubs title, with her Mali partner

Sophie has only played in Ghana, and only played two J5s before this

So to take a title in a J4 is really well done

In Poland, J5, Enrico Franchi+ lost their final
