3. Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls - for winning their biggest title so far (ITF 100k in Poland) and reaching new CH's. Lissey will become GB #2 and WR87 and Liv will enter the top 100 at WR90.

4. Johannus Monday - for winning his first M25 final in Illinois, having halved his ranking from 1500 to circa 760 over the summer.

5. Katie Swan for her first title at 60k level in Lexington beating (assisted by) Jodie Burrage in the final

6. Ella MacDonald for winning J1 singles and doubles in Durban

next couple of weeks v busy with Masters 1000 events, some challengers stacked out with Brits, men and women, and two ITF events on home soil about to take place.

Dan, Jack, Neal, Lloyd and Dan the doubles man all still in Montreal which is lovely! No idea what is cracking off elsewhere but this is good for starters !

I was going to wait one more round as Dan has been in a Masters Semi before and I tend to be a breaking new ground nominator however, given his lack of form after Covid plus the Doubles result which I overlooked he definitely deserves to be in the mix.

It's shaping up to be a strong field for this months award, though if I remember to vote, I'm voting for Swan. Not just for her taking the Lexington title, which she deservedly won. More because it's the culmination of 6 months of gritty, sometimes sparkling performances whilst all the while battling though the pain barrier in practically every match she's been able to play. Performances that have seen her beat the likes of Stephens, Udvary, Scott (in Lexington), and be highly competitive against Andreescu, Vekic, and Kostyuk, (add to that the participation in the BJK cup tie against the Czechs). Also, because she absolutely deserved at least a qualifying wildcard at the US Open this year. Shame on the organisers for overlooking a young player ranked in the mid 170's, cut-off date or not.
