Interesting to see Ella Mcdonald is playing doubles only with Hep.
Hep has not got a full counter of doubles points yet

Great points opportunity these two weeks in South Africa. Not surprised Ella only in dubs as she was still on clay with talia in the dubs in Switzerland late on Friday. Not much turnaround for singles hardcourt. Shes in the J1 next week though and has a good chance of winning as seed 2.

Hep just been broken 2-3* first set.

Close match so far. Going to be how much Hep can make her shots, at the moment shes loosing that battle. Her opponent has some nice shots but seems to be more of a retriever so far.

And the streaming service seems to have figured out who Millie Skelton is today

And major problems with the line-calling by the Argentinian girl in Hep's match...

Millie lost 2-6 3-6

Which was a reasonable score

It was all too 'approximate' from Millie - SO many unnecessary errors

Definitely Millie today, completely different girl and racket yesterday (Millie is wilson blue that was a red racket)  that was streamed. Right score but didnt match the play on court 6.

Didn't see that one but, yes, there was one by Hep earloer that was clearly wrong (and I think she knew so) - BUT this was after several that were just awful from the Argentinian girl - the crowd were intervening, the referee was called, the girl was shrieking - all a bit ridiculous really

Giving her a taste of her own medicine then. She is battling hard, always fights hard and a great future ahead.

The calling is out of control really

Many people don't realise that it's not all about cheating either

When you're playing a long rally, running from side to side, trying desperately to stay in, you honestly see the ball wrong - you're willing the ball to be out and due to stress and fatigue, the brain sort of tricks you

(And then there's plain cheating, of course, too)

Hep was 5-3 up - then had a wobble

Then served for it at 5-4

Had two match points

Played a horrible point

Then lost another

Then another wobble

Now 5-5

ADD: And then the other girl had points for 6-5 and had an even bigger wobble and lost 4 on the trot

Hep *6-5

It was a battle of the wobbles
But Hep deserved it as the more entrepreneurial player, more on the front foot
