Other events, 2022 - week 29


Santo Domingo, J3:

R1 wins (both singles and dubs) for Roy Keegan and Imogen Haddad 

 

Turkey, J5:

Finbar McGarvey won in R1 but lost in his next match

But Tom Dunlop had wins in R1 and R2 and is into the QFs. 

He's also into the SFs of the doubles  

 

Paraguay, J5:

R1 win for Gabi Rawles 

 

Jamaica, J5:

R1 win for Athina Schlepphorst and BYE for Adeola Greatorex. But JennaeManning lost

 

Armenia, J4:

Polina Ivanushkina lost

 

Netherlands, J4:

Charlie Robertson won R1 and then lost, in both singles and dubs

Ava Williamson lost by retirement in the third set

 

Georgia, J5:

Taymur Muhammad lost in R1. Got a win in doubles though

Gabia Paskauskas is top seed and into the QFs of singles and into the semis in the doubles 

 

Germany, J4:

R1 loss for Oliver Hague 

 

Fiji, J4:

R1 loss for Oliver Critchley. One win in doubles though.

Imogen also won her doubles and is into the SF



Jamaica, J5:

Athina Schlepphorst lost her R2 in three sets.

Adeola Greatorex also lost her first match, despite being 2nd seed


Paraguay, J5:

Gabi Rawles (seeded 3) lost in R2

And another title for Gabia - that's her third in about as many weeks (Although not all titles count the same and a J5 doubles title is maybe not the really up there with her singles J4 title, for instance)



Georgia, J5:

Gabia Paskauskas wins the doubles final, in two sets, with her Russian partner

Repton School in Derbyshire hosted a category 3 Tennis Europe under 14 event and a category 2 under 12 event this week. The finals were:

U14 boys: Charlie Ruffell d. Matthew Gardner 6-1 6-3
U14 girls: Tegan Bush d. Shamiso Ndoro 6-3 6-2
U12 boys: Scott Watson d. Nicholas Morrell 6-7(3) 6-1 [10-6]
U12 girls: Daniella Britton d. Hana Chouman 6-3 3-6 [10-8]

 No, I don't think so.  Isabelle has a brother and lives in a different county, I believe.
