Well done, Jasmine

She looked very relaxed and won the match very efficiently. I'm sure she's benefiting from playing in women's tennis.

She was quite heralded a few years ago. Then with some time out with injury and then moving to senior ITFs she has been progressing more in the background but progressing pretty steadily.

And her appearance here is a reminder that she is still only 17 yo.

Another lovely doubles match from Hannah and Hep

This one a lot easier, in fact, than the previous - our girls were always in the lead, had WAY more break points, it was their match all along

Won 6-4 6-3

I really LOVE the fact that both of them are so prepared to engage in the crosscourt rallies - real doubles basics

There's so much emphasis on down-the-line in singles, which is great for redirecting, but not what's called for most of the time when there's someone at the net. A lot of our other girls were basically playing their dubs like singles and it was all going wrong

Hep and Hannah showed belief and patience - and some great reactions and read of where the space was in the court

Jasmine and Klimovicova are both hitting the hell out of those balls today. It will be interesting to see how it develops.

Some decent rallies / shots in this match so far. Jasmine has a big forehand and serve, her backhand seems quite error prone and she doesn't move as well to it as on her forehand side. Did Jasmine play the Wimbledon play offs?

Her retrieval's been excellent, though, even when under a lot of pressure. She takes the first set 6-2.

A very good first set

She managed to completely destabilise Linda K (who had thrashed Isabelle Lacy) - no wonder Linda is sitting with her head under a towel - her match unravelled thanks to the persistence and excellent percentage play of Jasmine

I doubt the match is over though.....

First set to Jasmine 6-2

Her opponent is irritated to find that things are not going as she expected. She is a seed and is from the Czech Republic but her frustration makes her hit harder and make more mistakes.

Hope Jasmine can continue in the same vein.

Sloppy start to the set from Jasmine, a few doublefaults and bad misses. But her opponent has started to find the lines, and time the ball far better.

Yes. Jasmine finally gets a game in the second set 1-4

As expected, a bit of a turn around.....

Linda is not chopped liver and Jasmine relaxed a little - it only needs a little swing in the balance.....

Allez, Jasmine

No, she chose to play Israel W25s.

Anyone know the ages of these girls? This event is new this year right? Fun to see a bit. Crazy the difference in winners in Brittons match - she hit 39 to her opponents 3 or something! Her opponent looked about 10...which I guess is possible if you think to he level that people like Hingis or even Robson might have been at at that age compared to most 14yos.
