Girls: 2022 Wimbledon (Week 27)

A really horrid last set from Ella

Assuming she's not injured, it was just weird - really 'soft' legs, no intensity, just swatting at the ball.....

Nicely done

Really good depth and placement

You do think she could maybe have smiled at the end though......

Talia lost in three sets to the tenth seed but fought valiantly

I watched from near the end of set 2 and it was good to see a match played at a fast tempo with plenty of attacking intent. Not always well executed, but plenty of potential for Talia to improve.

Although Mimi plays a qualifier next Gabriella Kruger is the second highest ranked WTA player in the draw (456 behind Nikola Bartunkova). Jasmine's opponent got lucky with a w/o against a seed

Shame how Talia collapsed from 3-1 up in the third
Lost five games on the trot
She's a 2005, she should review the recordings from that match, there is a lot to be learnt from that if she wants to

Looks like Ranah has had to pull out. There's a lucky loser playing the first seed. Shame for Ranah.

Ranah appears to still be in the doubles.

Saw the start, didn't realise she was such a big hitter already.

With our two playing non seeds and one of those a qualifier, it would feel like there is a chance of one or the other getting to the last 8, fingers crossed?!
